Alicia Daniele is an editor in NYU's Department of Marketing Communications in the Office of University Relations and Public Affairs. She received her BFA in Writing, Literature, and Publishing from Emerson College, Boston, MA, in 2014 and is now a part-time master's student in the Media, Culture, and Communication program at NYU Steinhardt, where she focuses her research on the representation or misrepresentation—especially in the post-truth era—of the environment in the media. Alicia enjoys changing passive voice into active, thwarting dangling or misplaced modifiers, and investigating beyond the conventional Google search to verify a fact so you don't have to.
