For some people, fall means the return of football season, pumpkin spice lattes, and pulling out their favorite hoodies. But in the NYU admissions office, fall means Open House!
We’re excited to welcome you to NYU’s Open House on October 19th and 20th! We’ve been practicing our biggest smiles and brushing up on our university facts and figures to get ready for you!
Academics
Everyone will start their day at a School Spotlight, which will provide you with your first taste of NYU’s academic life. Hear from faculty, staff, and current students about what each of NYU’s schools and colleges are like.
If you are interested in more than one school at NYU, we’ve got you covered! All our schools will have representatives at the University Resource Hub, eager to answer your questions. We’ll also have sessions on common academic tracks at NYU, so drop on by to learn about Arts & Media, Science & Technology, and Business at NYU.

NYU is way bigger than people realize! We are a global university with three degree-granting campuses and study away locations all over the world. Learn more about all of it at the Campuses of NYU session.
And in case you’re already itching to dive into the Common App, Admissions Counselors will go over exactly what applying to NYU entails at our Admissions 101 session. We know finances are important to consider when thinking about college, so we have some Financial Aid Information Sessions scheduled for you too.
Life @ NYU
Top-tier academics? We got that. Research opportunities? Got those too. But NYU has a lot to offer outside of our classrooms. During your visit to Open House, take a campus tour or learn more about NYU’s residence halls in an information session. Sit in on a student panel or visit the Center for Multicultural Education and Programs/LGBTQ+ Center. There, you learn about the resources NYU offers to support all students’ identities.
Connection
Throughout Open House weekend, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to connect with current NYU students and other interested high school students, but we also love an opportunity to party! End your day at the MeetNYU Mingler, where you may run into a dancing robot, but you’ll definitely meet a lot of current and future Violets!
