Is it your first semester on campus? Or perhaps your last? Regardless of your academic standing, the NYU Mobile app will help you navigate all things violet. To get antiquated, here’s a breakdown of what it offers and how you can utilize it.

Reasons to Download

NYU Mobile provides a nice visual in terms of how close academic buildings and residence halls are to one another. First-years can familiarize themselves geographically with these tools. It also keeps everything in one place, so if you have any NYU-related question or can’t find a specific resource, the app has your back.

Welcome Week

Every year before classes begin, the Center for Student Life hosts Welcome Week, which consists of 600+ activities and programs dedicated to helping students acclimate and building community on campus. The NYU Welcome 2024 banner pops up on NYU Mobile’s home page, so it’s accessible to get move-in weekend information and the events calendar, among other resources.

On the bottom right hand corner of the app, there is a menu section. This includes links to every NYU website and portal you could possibly need to reference. You can find your Engage Pass here, which is what you will need to check into Welcome Week events, as well as shuttle schedules, a campus map, and Albert, our registration site.

Olivia Federici (she/her) is a senior studying Media, Culture, and Communication at the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development with a minor in the Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology. Born and raised in the small town of Oxford, Connecticut, she brought with her to NYU a vigor to enrich her academic pursuits through conducting traditional coursework and immersing in the social fabric of the city. During the school year, she serves as an Admissions Ambassador for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, as well as a Writing Tutor at the Writing Center. Off-campus, she embarks on photo walks, learning from those whom she meets along the way.
