“The Staples on Broadway helped me with getting boxes to help pack all my extra stuff.”
—Daniel Lee, International Relations and Public Policy, NYU College of Arts and Science
“The Trader Joe’s in Union Square made my move-in day that much easier! They have the best snacks to keep you going while you move in. Also, the CVS on 14th Street and Fifth Avenue is a lifesaver. Lastly, USA Super Stores on Third Avenue has the cheapest school supplies.”
—Avery Appling, Social Work and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies, NYU Silver School of Social Work
“My family helped me move into my room, and Heavenly Market Deli’s quesadillas gave us a big recharge. They made move-in day very smooth and enjoyable.”
—Dominic Gibson, Drama, NYU Tisch
“The H Mart next to Alumni Hall and the Union Square Target both made moving in a lot easier.”
—Armaan Gupta, Media, Culture, and Communication, NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development
“My residence hall resource center became my best friend those first couple of weeks at NYU! Having a package center was great. My mom could easily send me stuff through Amazon. Plus, the resource center always had free toilet paper and garbage bags, which helped me cut back on those expenses. While living at Lipton, I had a CVS pharmacy about two blocks away. I decided to sign up for a CVS ExtraCare card, which came in handy since CVS is open late. I was able to buy snacks, food, medicine, and other household necessities.”
—Jade Ramirez, Interactive Media Arts, NYU Tisch
